PetSmart’s Chance & Friends collection spread a lot of joy this holiday season with a record-breaking 9.5 million toys donated to people in need! Toys are delivered to organizations like children’s hospitals, police departments, animal shelters and other local nonprofit organizations.
In November, a PetSmart in Grand Blanc, Mich. donated eight bags full of Chance & Friends to the pediatric unit at Genesis Hospital, and in Arden, N.C. a store donated 2,000 toys to the local Rotary Club. More than 1,500 toys were donated to Toys for Tots in Yakima, Wash., while in Lexington, Ky. hundreds of toys were donated to the Lexington police department. In Winnipeg, Man., the local store partnered with The Bear Clan, an organization that helps provide support for under-resourced and Indigenous communities throughout the province to donate 746 toys to children. This was a record-breaking year for the toy drive and is a favorite among PetSmart associates. For every in-store or online purchase of a toy from the Chance & Friends collection, PetSmart donated 10% of the sale to PetSmart Charities. Thank you to everyone that helped make this year a success. We’re excited to see what we can accomplish next year!
