PetSmart associates across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico came together last week to give back to their communities during PetSmart’s Week of Service. Throughout the week, associates embraced local initiatives and addressed needs in their individual communities, through a variety of pet-centric and community volunteer projects.
The PetSmart teams participated in a variety of projects, depending on their location. Grooming teams in Tucson donated their time bathing pets to get them ready for adoption at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Associates from the corporate office traded key boards for leashes and walked dogs awaiting adoption at the Arizona Animal Welfare League. Others completed school beautification projects along with other volunteer events during the week.
PetSmart’s Week of Service volunteer initiative supports organizations focused on supporting the bond between people and pets and relating back the companies mission, vision and values.
