Alan Schnaid

Alan Schnaid, EVP of Finance, IT, Strategy and Chief Financial Officer, joined PetSmart in 2017. Prior to PetSmart, he served as chief financial officer of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. where he was responsible for the global finance, accounting, tax, treasury, planning, risk management and investor relations functions. He spent more than 22 years with Starwood in various finance roles, including corporate controller and chief accounting officer. Earlier in his career, he worked for several accounting firms.

Alan serves on the board of CommLoan, Inc., a company that provides a marketplace for lenders and borrowers in the commercial real estate space, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Society.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, Northridge and later went on to earn his CPA. He resides in Paradise Valley, Ariz. with his wife and three children. They are pet parents to two Golden Retriever rescues, Cheeto and Sheba.
