James Elasky

James Elasky joined PetSmart in February 2020 as Vice President, Merchandising – leading our consumables business including dog and cat food, treats, litter and our online pharmacy.

With over 20 years of experience in the retail industry, James has held various leadership roles across categories including entertainment, toys, sporting goods, electronics, grocery, proprietary brands development and food service operations. Prior to joining PetSmart, James progressed through Merchandising, Planning and Allocation leadership roles at Target.

James earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. He lives in Phoenix with his wife, two daughters, and their dog Otis.
